*BIBLE READING: 2PETER 1:1-10; 1CORINTHIANS 12:12-27; MATTHEW 5; EPHESIANS 3:14-19*

*“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by One Spirit we were all baptized into One Body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into One Spirit. For in fact the Body is not One Member but many.” 1Corinthians 12:12-14(NKJV)*

Jesus is the Living Stone and we as believers are part of that Living Stone Which is the Temple of the Living God. We observed from our devotional yesterday that God is the Architect and Builder who is building His Church/Spiritual House that will offer up Spiritual Sacrifices.

(1Pet. 2:5) The Body of Christ consists of many Distinct Parts that have Unique Value and function in harmony to achieve a set goal. Collins Dictionary defined Value as “the moral principles and beliefs or accepted standards of a person or social group”. Values are relatively enduring conceptions or judgments about what we consider to be important.

Values form the guiding principles that determine our choices, actions, behaviours and attitudes towards people, situations, and things. Each member of the body is valuable, and its role cannot be overemphasized in the body.

WHAT VALUE ARE YOU ADDING?

Values make up the most important discoveries and Treasures in the Kingdom. Every believer must diligently cultivate Kingdom Values which are the Beauty of our Salvation. Cultivating and exhibiting Kingdom Values is one of the ways of becoming a Friend of God because it attracts God’s Presence and ensures an Intimate Walk with Him.

(John 8:29) Values of the Kingdom are the Heartbeat of God because they portray the very Nature and Essence of God Himself which must be cultivated diligently. God is attracted by the inner qualities of a man because He is not moved by our outward appearances. *(1Sam. 16:7)* People remember the quality of our lives and not the abundance of skill or material resources we possessed while on Earth.

Every member of the Body of Christ is a Living Stone or Precious Stone that Jesus had to sacrifice His Life just to purchase meaning that you should not despise anybody because each of us is of Great Value to God and Precious in His Sight. God reconciled us and has given us the Ministry of Reconciling men to Him.

(2Cor. 5:18) We are the Body of Christ and each of us has been bestowed with Gifts and Skills that we must deploy because the Earnest Expectation of Creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. *(Rom. 8:19)* Each member of the Body should not despise the other but should work in harmony because if a part of the Body suffers, the entire Body suffers:*“But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.”* (1Cor.12:24b-26)

How much do you value the kingdom of God ?

Each member of the Body requires preparation and training before taking our place seamlessly so that everyone would be properly fitted in their rightful place fulfilling their purpose in the Body. When God told Solomon to build Him a Temple in the Old Testament, the stones were hewn stones from costly/precious stones, *(1Kgs. 5:13-18)* the Temple was actually assembled *(1 Kgs. 6:7)* because the stones had been hewn and squared in the quarry before bringing them to the Temple Site so that there was no noise, hammering, etc., heard during the building of the Temple.

*PRAYER:*

Father, please open my eyes by Revelation to know my place and the Grace to play my own God-given role in the Body of Christ. O Lord, please don’t let me depart from this Earth without contributing my own quota and fulfilling the ministry assigned to me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
